--- No scheduled classes at this time - please check back this fall---
We do not have a standalone program for self defense at this time, we have temporarily suspended it. We teach two martial arts, traditional Karate and self defense oriented Jiu Jitsu as part of our program. Jiu Jitsu claases are focussed on self defense but this is an ongoing program that requires a time committment. We would consider running a series of classes or seminar if we had a group interested in it.
The aim of this course is to teach you that you can mentally and physically defend yourself against a violent attack. Discover how to make your fear work for you. Learn simple yet effective strikes using your best weapons - your body, mind and spirit. The course is heavy on practical application. We can accommodate as many as 30 or 40 in a session, but a comfortable class size is more like 10-20. Sessions are typically 1 or 2 hours in length.
A little about the trainers: the chief instructor Sensei Salisbury is a father of 2 boys and married 17 years. He has been training in martial arts for almost 30 years. He currently holds 4th degree black belts in both Goju-Ryu Karate and JukoRyu Jiu-Jitsu and has taught and assisted in teaching several WSD courses, as well as having trained security guards and studied under law enforcement professionals. At our Dojo there are 2 other senior instructors with significant experience that would likely also have a hand in teaching WSD sessions for your group.
Course times and offering are subject to ongoing change. Email us for current options and more information email@example.com
